Creating a QR code is simple: 1) Select the type of QR code you want to create (URL, email, vCard, etc.), 2) Fill in the required information, 3) Optionally customize the colors to match your brand, 4) Click "Generate QR Code", and 5) Download as PNG or SVG. It's completely free with no registration required.
What's the difference between PNG and SVG QR codes?
PNG is a raster image format best for digital use (websites, emails, presentations). SVG is a vector format that scales infinitely without quality loss, making it ideal for print materials like business cards, posters, and banners. We recommend PNG for web use and SVG for any printed materials.
Can I customize the colors of my QR code?
Yes! You can customize both the foreground (dark) and background (light) colors of your QR code using our color picker. Just make sure there's enough contrast between the colors so the QR code remains scannable. Dark colors on light backgrounds work best.
Are the QR codes permanent?
Yes, the QR codes you generate are permanent static QR codes. The data is encoded directly into the QR code image itself, so it will work forever. However, if you use a URL QR code and later change where that URL points, the destination will change (but the QR code itself remains the same).
Do QR codes expire?
No, QR codes do not expire. Static QR codes (like the ones we generate) will work indefinitely. The QR code is just an image that encodes your data, so as long as the image exists and is scannable, it will work. There are no time limits or usage restrictions.
What types of QR codes can I create?
We support 20+ types of QR codes including URLs, plain text, email addresses, vCards (digital business cards), WiFi credentials, GPS locations, YouTube videos, Spotify links, social media profiles (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter), and payment methods (Bitcoin, PayPal, UPI, SEPA/EPC, TWINT). Visit our generators page to see all available types.
Can I track scans of my QR code?
The static QR codes we generate don't include built-in tracking. However, if you create a URL QR code, you can use a URL shortener with analytics (like Bitly or your own tracking link) to monitor scans. This gives you insights into when and where your QR codes are being scanned.
